RESOURCES for COALITIONS , EDUCATORS, PARENTS, and YOUTH

This section links you to information about prevention programs, local and national, as well as enabling you to access information on related topics. We have divided Resources into four groups to accommodate different visitors.

Coalitions contains information of special interest to prevention coalitions as well as information from law enforcement and health organizations. In the Community section you will find a section titled Toolkit. The sites listed here provide coalitions with resource materials and downloadable publications - all the tools they need to be effective. These sites provide valuable resource material and guidance for a coalition in helping them successfully reach their goals.

Educators concentrates on information from the Macomb Intermediate School District. There are also links to resources for teachers and school staff.

Parents contains a list of local and national resources from a variety of perspectives. There are a number of resources specific to Michigan, a site specific to Macomb County, and some university resources.

Finally, our Youth section has an extensive list of websites geared toward the young teen to young adult. With each link there is a short description of the site to assist the visitor in his/her search.

There are seemingly an endless array of substance abuse/prevention sites and organizations on the web. We have attempted to begin a list of some of the best sites out there.
